E-books on Ipad, specifically a question for an owner of the B&N Nook and the Ipad.?

Hello, my problem is this:

I heard that you CAN read kindle purchased eBooks on the Ipad, however only through the kindle application. Is this true? I have about 14 eBooks purchased through my Barnes and Noble account and I would love to save the $200 or so of not having to repurchase the Ipad version.

Now, I understand the compatibility of the B&N books will work on the iPad, but is it only through a B&N app? I want my iBooks application to have a full shelf of my favorites, some of which have already been purchased elsewhere. What I'm asking is, will Kindle and B&N purchases not show up here?

You see, I'm just OCD enough to buy the Apple version of a book I already have JUST so it shows up on my shelf. Please help if you have hands on knowledge of this.

How To Rip Dvd To Ipad?

Right, you can buy pretty much everything from iTunes, but a lot of people want to know is it possible to rip DVD onto iPad & watch their own DVD movies on iPad since there is no build in DVD-ROM? Sure, it possible and easy. Here, I will show you how to put DVD on iPad in 3 steps.

Requirement
1. DVD movies
2. PC with DVD-ROM
3. Apple iPad

Step 1 Download iPad Converter Software
Go to download DVD to iPad on your PC. Installing it and then running it.

Step 2 Rip DVD to iPad with One Click

Good And Bad Ipad Reviews

Firstly, the name itself has caused many heads to turn with raised eyebrows. Based on some iPad reviews, certainly a well-known manufacturer of excellent IT products could have come up with a better name. Apparently, earlier options were thrown in the air and only iPad made the cut.

iPad’s physical appearance is not overly spectacular. It comes with clean cut lines, smooth curves and a glossy black bezel bordering the screen. Reviewers were initially critical on the wide bezel but later accepted its practicality in avoiding accidental contact with the touch screen. Since it bears a resemblance to its family of past appliances, it reduces the learning curve. The lack of a USB port or SD card reader, common devices in use today, is a let-down. Absence of a web camera also disallows the user from conducting video chats. Screen quality is good with its wide dimension and sharp resolution, allowing the user to read and watch content with clarity.

Once again, being built on the same operating system as its family of appliances, iPad interface is easy learning for past users. For first time users, the interface may take some getting used to as iPad doesn’t follow the conventional method of files, folders and windows. Lack of multi-tasking abilities is also a perplexing issue for most users.

Since its built-in web browser doesn’t support the most common platform for rich media experience, iPad reviews are disappointing when viewing other sites’ pages built on this platform. Fortunately, iPad interface is good for reading e-books with its friendly layout, clear display, built-in dictionary, easy search and bookmark options. Viewing of streaming videos is great via its large screen.
Its compatibility with other apps within its family of devices provides a seamless experience as the user is able to synchronize information between iPad and these other devices. Third party applications come aplenty, chargeable or free.

Some apps work really well for readers of news publications and comics, whereas others focus on streaming video via its Wi-Fi or GPS connection, Wi-Fi being the faster option.

Battery life received favorable iPad reviews as tests by user groups outlasted the manufacturer’s claim.

Do You Really Need An Ipad?

Do you really need the new Apple iPad? Have you already ordered yours? As you know, there is so much iPad buzz that is continuing to grow the way the iPod and iPhone did before. Apple has the magic touch and puts it in every product release. But do you really need an iPad? For your guide, here is a quick overview of a few of the top features that may make the iPad worth of your money.

Remind your friend that no one likes a show off as long as that person is not you. How about battery life? The larger device claims to have up to 10 hours of battery life. This is great for entertainment on long trips. Play games, read books and much more with your 10 hours of up time. Last but not least: Apple Apps, apps and apps – get this: over 100,000 iPhone apps will work on the iPad. This will keep the tech fans busy for a while.

The iPad is the revolutionary new touch screen tablet computer from Apple that also doubles as an e-reader, a music player, a media console – and basically, whatever else its owner wants it to do if it has the right software. Shouldn’t it be illegal to have this much fun with a piece of hardware? Fortunately for us, it’s not.

Three million units were sold in the first two and a half months after the iPad’s launch. Analysts are predicting the iPad will be the big Christmas toy for grown-ups this year, with sales of 11 million by the time 2010 is through.

Part of what makes using the iPad so exhilarating is the huge number of software applications – colloquially known as “apps” – available to help you customize your user experience. Here are our four favorites:

Evernote: Evernote is an note-taking and archiving software suite that interprets the word “note” liberally. A note can be a piece of formattable text, a web page, part of a web page, a photograph, a voice recording or even a handwritten scribble. Once captured, “notes” can be edited, tagged, archived, commented upon, and sorted into folders. Evernote supports both Windows and Mac OS X operating systems, and that means the notes you take on your iPad can be easily ported to other devices. It’s freeware, so the price is right too – although if you really like it, there’s a premium version of Evernote, which gives you even more versatility.

Kindle: These days Amazon is selling more e-books than print books, and the Kindle is the reason why. The iPad Kindle app is actually more versatile than Amazon’s proprietary hardware: It displays full color photographs (unlike its Amazon counterpart) as well any font in your library on an interface that’s easy on your eyes, and grants you access to the same 450,000 Web titles that owners of the Amazon hardware platform enjoy.

Netflix: For $8.99 a month, the Netflix app allows you to stream videos and TV shows to watch on your iPad. Be warned: this app is still in the early days of its development. The relationship between the iPad’s browser interface and the Netflix movie player is not the smoothest, and occasionally the aspect ratios seem off in what you’re watching. Still, these are small annoyances that will doubtless be ironed out in the next upgrade, and in the meantime nothing beats getting to watch “Casablanca” any time you really get the craving.

Pandora Radio: Pandora, which revolutionized Internet radio with its ultra-smart music selection algorithms that utilize over 400 tonal attributes, brings that same level of innovation to the iPad. Just enter the title of a song or the name of a musician whom you particularly enjoy, and voila! Pandora responds with a playlist of tunes that are acoustically akin. It’s a great way to learn about new artists and musical genres while expanding your listening horizons.
